Someone I know joined the Widow Club yesterday when her husband died as a result of head injuries from a fall. I knew both her and her husband in college. We weren't close friends--more like acquaintances introduced through my roommate. They dated all through college and married soon after graduating. They have three children.
Why does it feel like so many of the good guys--the good husbands, the good fathers, the good men--are the ones who leave this world too early? There are so many things I'll never understand.
It's terribly infuriating, isn't it....

insane. Random. And people try to find a reason, like he was "so good, he got to go home." There is no reason like that.
