My widowed friend, Laura, and I are off to San Diego today for Camp Widow! The conference starts Friday so we are going to sight see for a couple of days.
Those of you who know me know that I hate flying. To put it more accurately, I'm scared to fly even though I have done it many times. Throw in the anxiety of leaving the kids for four and half days and the rainy weather and I'm sure to be a basket case by the time 12:20 p.m. approaches.
Please send your prayers and well wishes my way for a safe and life-giving trip.

Wendy - we attended at least one seminar together (little tears), and even chatted briefly at the elevator, but we hadn't exchanged names. By the time I put the pieces together I couldn't find you to let you know I figured out who you were!

It was such a pleasure to meet you. As I sat at the bar on Friday afternoon, I remember looking over and just knew that it would be ok to come over to say Hello.
